I love telling stories.

I like sharing them in a lounge room with good friends and mellow wine. I adore watching them fall from my pen onto the page. And damn, how I love them nestled in the pages of a book, or on the screen of an online magazine.

So it’s with great joy that I prod you in the direction of Monkeybicycle.

This Seattle based online literary journal has just published one of my stories, ‘Rapunzel, Rapunzel.’ I’m particularly proud of this because it hit the screen on World Storytelling Day, the perfect opportunity to sit around a dinner table with your people and tell the tales that make you who you are.

My spine is also a little bit straighter because this, after five years of sending pieces of my soul to editors and reinforcing my armour as I wait, is officially Published Story #30.

I have to say I like the sound of that.

I think I might just keep spilling this ink of mine.

Thanks, Martin – much appreciated! And I don’t know if I even have a choice about the ink spilling…somehow, I think it’s in my blood now.

A story I know and love. So many well written lines in that one Bell and no wonder it was accepted for publication. I mean, they would be monkeys not to right?

Thanks, Leith – this is a story close to my heart. But you know that, I’m sure…Hope your muse is treating you well.
