For the Melbourne scribes

July 5, 2012 at 6:03 pm (Uncategorized)

It’s not most mornings that I wake dreaming of Fraggles, so I knew a story had come knocking. I threw in a children’s psychiatrist, added a pair of frayed pyjamas and some liquorice, and sent it out into the world, my fingers crossed.

The story, ‘Counting Red’, is being published in an upcoming anthology as part of NMIT’s Time to Write festival. The launch is next Friday, July 13th, and as if the prospect of clinking glasses with fellow scribes isn’t enough, they’re also offering free workshops on the topic of writing and publishing. There are several to choose from, including short stories, novels and blogs, amongst others, so click on the link below to find out more.

And if you see a redhead with snake tattoos and a glass of wine, humming the Fraggle Rock theme song, come and say hello.
